Dr. Morales Presents at NHMA 2022

Dr. Susana Morales presented at NMHA’s 2022 Latino Healthcare Leadership as part of a five-member NYC Latino Leaders PANEL- “ Leadership Journeys to Success: Actions Taken & Lessons Learned”. For this panel session –  she shared 12-15 minutes on her journey, lessons learned, barriers overcome, and leadership insights. After sharing her journey, she was part of a panel discussion and an open Q&A from the audience.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Dr. Morales’ Bio

Dr. Susana Morales is an associate professor of clinical medicine, vice chair for diversity in the Joan and Sanford I. Weill Department of Medicine and director of the Weill Cornell Medicine Diversity Center of Excellence. Established in 2018 as part of the Cornell Center for Health Equity, the Diversity Center of Excellence focuses on enhancing diversity in medicine and health care, and promoting health equity through research, education, advocacy and community engagement. Dr. Morales is the recipient of numerous honors, including the Bruce Laine Ballard, M.D. Award for Excellence in Mentoring, presented by the Weill Cornell Medicine Office of Diversity and Inclusion. In 2022, she was named Physician of the Year by the National Hispanic Medical Association and received the Siegel Award in Faculty Development from Weill Cornell Medicine.
