Graduate Medical Education Diversity & Equity Initiatives
The Diversity Center of Excellence coordinates recruitment and retention programming with partners in residency and fellowship training programs at the NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical Center.
Initiatives:
- Supporting Visiting Clerkships. Medical students of underrepresented in medicine backgrounds interested in Internal Medicine related electives should email dcoe-gme@med.cornell.edu. For students interested in visiting electives in other departments, visit the Office of Diversity and Inclusion page.
- Annual Make Your Match Residency Diversity Open House
- Annual Fellowship Internal Medicine Subspecialty Diversity Open House
- Annual GME Welcome Back
- Diversity Mentoring Cascade. Residents and fellows are invited to apply to join the Diversity Mentoring Cascade, a network that includes trainees and faculty of underrepresented in medicine backgrounds.
